Randy Uram founded Creating Confidence in 2004. Since then Creating Confidence has helped many early to mid-stage companies grow significantly. Randy has been part-time VP of Sales for a number of his clients, he has helped them build a revenue pipeline via Creating Confidence's Appointment Setting service and he has designed a number of sales processes for his clients to optimize sales efficiency and increase forecast accuracy.
Randy Uram also knows how to build a great sales organization and he knows how to close a deal. Prior to founding Creating Confidence he had more than 20 years of operational experience in Sales and Sales Management at a number of prominent high technology companies. Randy always made his numbers – as a Sales Rep, Regional Director, VP of Sales, and VP of Worldwide Sales and Service. He built world-class sales organizations from the ground up and optimized the performance of existing sales organizations. Companies he worked for prior to founding Creating Confidence include Wellfleet Communications, New Oak Communications, Quantum Bridge Communications, and ExaGrid Systems. Randy was instrumental in growing those companies from very early stages to successful revenue producing companies.
In many cases, Randy Uram came into an early stage VC-funded technology company with only engineers and then created customer interest, secured all the original beta sites, managed the complete beta program, delivered the first order to the company, and then grew the sales organization to manage the growth. Randy has also built and managed a $100M sales region at one of America's fastest growing companies.
Randy Uram has the knowledge and drive to close big deals. He also knows how to grow an organization, put sales processes in place that will increase revenue and add predictability to the sales pipeline. In addition, he's been successful at creating a sales organization that is always striving to exceed all customer expectations.
Randy enjoys cooking, skiing, biking and spending time with his family. He has completed two Ironman triathlons in Lake Placid, while raising money for local charities.
Randy Uram received a BS in Computer Science and Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh in 1981 and an MS in Computer Science from Purdue University in 1982. More recently, he has successfully completed many sales, negotiating and presentation courses.
